This is an extremely varied role and a good team player who is used to working to tight deadlines is need for this position.
You will be reporting to the Finance Director who works for the company on a freelance basis, you will however have other staff members who are available to support you with the general admin duties.
Some of the duties are listed below:
Responsible for all areas of the day-to-day accountancy to trail balance level.
Responsible for month end process to trial balance level.
Sales & purchase ledger
Banking and petty cash
Project costing analysis
To ensure Balance Sheet and Profit and Loss Account items are supported by correctly field analysis, schedules, registers and other necessary supporting documentation at year end and month end.
To ensure that Purchase Ledger payment posting are correctly matched by each month end, that statements are reconciled and filed.
To ensure that VAT transactions are accurately recorded and VAT invoices are obtained and kept.
To support Contract Managers by providing project financial reports and other information.
