Internal Sales role for very well established company, 50 years plus
SELLING INTO HOTELS, RESTAURANTS, BANQUETING SUITES, CONFERENCE VENUES
Telesales , new business development, sales position.
In this sales role you’ll spend quite a lot of time RESEARCHING potential clients and then making OUTBOUND calls
Some of these telesales calls will be completely cold, others will be dormant accounts where the company has ‘dropped the ball’, others will be where a competitor has ‘snuck in’ and ‘pinched’ the business. Occasionally, there might have been some ‘service issues’ and you’ll need to think on your feet.
This business development role offers between 25k and 28k basic with about £3k a year in commissions. This is a realistic figure. They are a very conservative company and do not over exaggerate.
This Internal Sales role offers a great deal of product training with visits to the suppliers and to existing customers so that you can understand how they do ‘what they do’ and what gives them an edge.
It’s business to business, B2B telesales role and you must be great at writing emails and keeping records on the database.
Further down the road, you’ll be given the opportunity to attend client meetings across Central/Greater London, mentored by the manager who we placed at the company.
We are open to those of all ages of course; however it’s an office of mature people and whilst the under 35’s might be happy here, I’d say it’s more radio 2 than Kiss FM. There is NO swearing at the company. Dress code is smart but not ‘jackets and ties’.
